Diwali Festival In Rajasthan



Diwali also known as deepavali is celebrated with whole enthusiasm and devotion in Rajasthan like every part of India known as the festival of lights, diwali is almost celebrated by all religion in Rajasthan.
Diwali is celebrated for many reasons. Some celebrates diwali as it is believed that it makes the starting of the Hindu New Year according to the lunar calendar but most of people celebrate it as the victory of goodness over evil. Diwali in Rajasthan is celebrated for a period of 5 days. People starts decorating their homes and prepare sweets, buy new clothes and jewellery.
During diwali, people lit up clay oil lamps, make rangolis, perform puja, exchange sweets with relatives, neighbours and fire crackers. Businessmen on diwali perform puja of their account books and start writing their new accounts. Lots of fireworks take place in diwali.

CAMEL FAIR BIKANER
Camel Fair Bikaner organized by the department of tourism art and culture, this is a much awaited event. It is celebrated in the month of January. The event includes camel dances, races, camel rides, etc.
DESERT FESTIVAL
The desert festival is held in jaisalmer with various competitions. Jaisalmer is known as THE GOLDEN CITY, as the city stands on the edge of the fort which is made of yellow stone. It is a colourful festival held in the month of February.
MEWAR FESTIVAL
The Mewar festival celebrated in Udaipur annually in the month of march-april.it is a three day event which holds an important place for women. This festival coincides with gangaur festival and the gangaur festival, Jaipur is celebrated for eighteen long days.
NAGAUR FAIR
Rajasthan is not only famous for its majestic forts and tales of love and courage but it is equally famous for the Rajasthan fairs and festivals. One such festival that catches the notice of the people is nagaur festival, nagaur. The most noticeable things to watch in this festival is two lakh ten thousand animals including horses, cows, ox’s, and camels are gathered at the naguar cattle fair for the purpose of trade. This festival is also known as cattle fair.
